sheeple – n. A person or group of people that blindly and ignorantly follow a trusting shepherd in matters that are often political or social in nature.

We The Sheeple…

We are all sheeple. “But wait, I’m educated from the best schools.”, you say. “I’m a very unique individual who does my own thing.” Or, “I despise authority and will do the opposite of what I’m told.” Sorry, but you’re a sheeple too.

Unfortunately we cannot think of or reinvent everything ourselves. Therefore, by way of convenience and emotional need, we live in a world intertwined with other groups of people, many of whom we have entrusted to do things for us, such as run our country, teach our children and take care of our health. Everything we eat, wear, drive, listen to or stand on is a reflection of how our society has been piloted by central thoughts and social norms to the point that at some level, we all are sheeple… driven to and fro by the winds of government and social expectations.

This is what’s called the “sheeple effect”. Sometimes, this effect coerces us to do or think what would be generally considered good things. However, we are constantly herded by this force to the edge of a cliff where one more step means a crossing over from conscious decision to unconscious stupidity; from democracy, to “idiocracy”.

Conspiracy Theory

This is often where “conspiracies” arise. All sorts of strange stories bubble to the surface of social buzz by some whistleblower that is labeled as crazy. No, they are not a bunch of foil hat wearing, schizophrenic, homeless people (well, not usually anyway). These people seek truth. At the fringe of this “sheeple effect” is where truth becomes conspiracy, where lies become truth and where we, the sheeple of the United States give up our freedoms because the road we are on seems so smooth and easy… thus far.

Our Hope

FlockOfSheeple.com is about addressing these issues and having open, but civilized discussions about how we as Americans and human beings can benefit from the integration of society while keeping our families, freedoms and mental faculties intact. It is our hope that we will all develop or maintain our ability to think for ourselves, to stand for the values and basic rights held dear by our forefathers, and have the strength to opt out of the mindless stupor that we have allowed ourselves to falsely label as freedom.
